Balfour Beatty E&M Ltd in Joint Venture with Young's Engineering (Macao) Co Ltd have been awarded the MVAC (Mechanical Ventilation & Air-Conditioning) and Electrical package installations on the Venetian Macao Hotel's first 1,500 suites. This fast-track project is worth in excess of HK$200 million.
The Venetian Macao Hotel, currently under construction by Gammon and its Macau partner Mei Cheong, will be a 32-storey tower and is scheduled to open in 2007. The Venetian Macao, the anchor property on the Cotai Strip TM, is the first "Las Vegas-style" resort in the Asia Pacific region, developed by Las Vegas Sands, Corp.
